Conference overview:

Not since privatisation or the switch to natural gas has there been a more transformational issue facing the UK energy industry, than smart metering. It has the potential to revolutionise the relationship between customer and energy supplier and deliver unprecedented progress in demand management, energy services, tariff innovation, smart grids, billing, customer services, micro-generation and electric vehicles.

With a predicted cost of £7-10 billion the scope and scale of investment over the next 10 years is vast. Guaranteeing a return and maximising potential of smart metering are of paramount importance and will be dependant on strong leadership and co-operation from industry, Government, regulator and of course energy consumers.

With a long and established legacy of energy conferences of the highest calibre, The Adam Smith Institute and Marketforce's Smart Metering Forum will unite the most senior thought leaders and decision makers from across the energy industry to discuss the impact smart metering will have on their business and debate the key challenges and opportunities going forward.
