Biography
Carl joined Lloyd's as Head of Market Operations in November 2008 with responsibility for all Lloyd's market change projects in London and internationally. Previously, Carl was Head of Operational Services at Amlin plc responsible for Change Management, Programme Management and the provision of Operational Support including IT. Carl has over 20 years senior management experience in the insurance industry with Lloyd's Managing Agents, International Insurance Companies and International Insurance Brokers in Front and Back Office Operations Management in underwriting and claims, Programme/Project Management and Change Management. Carl's original background was construction having studied Building (Technology and Management) at the University of Aston in Birmingham. Carl is a Chartered Surveyor (Project Management Faculty) and Chartered Builder as well as having a MBA from Kingston University.

Biography
Peter has been Claims Director at Cooper Gay & Co Ltd since 2006 and is now Head of the Global Claims Practice Group, for the CGSC network. Peter has handled and managed claims across most classes of business and geographic regions. Peter is a Fellow of the Insurance Institute and holds a MSc in Insurance and Risk Management from CASS.

Biography
David's career in the London Market started in 1986 working for actuarial consultants Bacon & Woodrow where he qualified as a Fellow of Institute of Actuaries in 1993.
David subsequently moved to QBE European Operations in order to assist in building their Lloyd's Operations. David was Managing Director of Limit Underwriting Limited between 2004 and 2008 with overall responsibility for QBE's Lloyd's Operations, chairing the LMA CSRB in 2007 and well as being a member of a number of committees within the Lloyd's market.
In 2011 David joined Lloyd's as Head of Claims, where he is responsible for the claims performance management framework for the Lloyd's market together with all aspects of claims operational and process reform.
Conference overview:
A great claims service offers insurers the best opportunity in the policy lifecycle to impress and retain customers. This conference will investigate how managing agents and brokers can find the balance between delivering a positive claims experience and reducing costs. It is a fantastic opportunity for Claims Directors and their teams to discuss and debate the latest issues shaping the industry, such as regulatory uncertainty, modernisation in Lloyd's, the talent gap, and sector-specific challenges. This event will provide food for thought on how to tackle these issues.
Building on the success of the last few years, this year’s event will expand to include two separate conferences running concurrently. This conference will cover London Market claims, while the other will focus on personal lines and SME claims. The two conferences will share streams on sector-specific issues such as surge events, motor claims and liability. This format aims to give attendees the opportunity to network with a wider variety of claims professionals and share best practice across the sectors.
