Adrian Bull

Biography
Adrian Bull is Head of Stakeholder Relations for the nuclear company Westinghouse UK – with particular focus on the market for new nuclear power stations and the potential for Westinghouse’s reactor, the AP1000. He is involved in dealings with Government, media, trade unions, and other stakeholders, as well as representing the nuclear industry to a wide range of groups. Prior to joining Westinghouse, Adrian worked for BNFL for over 20 years, in a variety of technical and commercial roles – latterly as BNFL’s Head of Energy Policy Studies.
He has worked on many submissions to Government consultations on nuclear and energy policy matters including three Government Energy Reviews, and has given evidence to several Select Committees on energy issues, both in Westminster and in the Scottish Parliament.
Adrian chairs both the Nuclear Industry Association’s Communications Working Group and the combined North West / North East Steering Group for the National Skills Academy for Nuclear. He is a Fellow of the Energy Institute, a member of the CBI’s North West Regional Council, the Energy Advisory Group of the Institute of Physics, and the North West Committee of the Nuclear Institute.
Outside work, Adrian is married with 3 children and lives in Manchester. He is a committee member of the North West Branch of the British Association for the Advancement of Science, and in his spare time is an occasional fire-eater.
