Thomas Kipp has been appointed CEO DHL Global Mail, Deutsche Post AG, as of July 31, 2009. In this role, he is responsible for the International Mail business of Deutsche Post DHL.
Prior to assuming his current position, Thomas served as CEO Global Mail Europe since December 1, 2008. Within this role he was responsible for the European sales and operational activities of DHL Global Mail.
Previously, he was a member of the divisional board for MAIL and headed up that division's Business Customers department. In this position he was responsible for developing and marketing tailored customer solutions in the Dialog Marketing and Corporate Information Solutions business units.

Moya Greene was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Royal Mail Group on July 15th, 2010. Prior to this Ms. Greene held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of Canada Post Corporation from May 12, 2005. She sat on the Board of Directors of Canada Post, of Purolator Courier Ltd, a subsidiary of Canada Post, and still sits on the Board of Tim Hortons. Ms. Greene has been a senior officer of three of Canada's largest multinational companies, first in banking and financial services at TD Securities Inc., at CIBC, and at Bombardier Inc. Ms. Greene has acquired a strong track record in strategic planning, complex negotiations and relationship building. Ms. Greene also has a strong public sector background. She spent the first part of her career in Ottawa where, over a 17-year period, Ms. Greene assumed progressively senior roles in seven different Ministries of the federal public service. Ms. Greene is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School and Memorial University of Newfoundland. Ms. Greene has been named one of Canada's top 40 female corporate executives and was recognized as one of Canada's Top 100 influential women.

Peter Somers is member of the Executive Committee of Belgian Post and Managing Director of Belgian Post International, a business unit of Belgian Post.
Being responsible for the international mail business of Belgian Post, he is now actively working on a renewed strategy for the international expansion of Belgian Post International. The increased competition caused by the liberalisation of the European postal market is a serious challenge that he believes calls for new strategic thinking, tactical action and operational conduct.
Peter Somers is a seasoned international logistics director with more than 20 years experience from executive positions in leading transport and distribution companies in Belgium, The Netherlands and United Kingdom. In the postal and logistics market, he has in-depth expertise in designing and implementing distribution systems.
Peter joined Belgian Post in 2000 as Managing Director of DeltaMedia SA/NV, and as Director Press Distribution; both units of Belgian Post.
After having successfully redesigned and implemented a new and efficient distribution system for newspapers, magazines and non-addressed mail, he was appointed Managing Director of Belgian Post International in June 2002. He retained the position as Managing Director of DeltaMedia till 2004, but relinquished a directorship in Press Distribution upon his appointment. He became member of the Executive Committee in 2007.

Pieter heads TNT Post European Mail Networks. He is also member of the TNT Mail Board.
TNT Post is the largest postal operator in the Netherlands and through its European Mail Networks the number one challenger in many European countries. In 8 countries TNT Post offers both Addressed and Unaddressed mail services. TNT Post delivers mail to more than 60 million households. In 2009 TNT Post delivered more than 8 billion Addressed mail items and 16 billion unaddressed items. TNT Post EMN operates a network with more than 100.000 people.
Since his appointment as Managing Director of EMN in 2003, the business in Europe has grown from 300 million to 1.2 billion Euros in 2009. The European Mail market is still highly regulated and not fully liberalised.
Pieter Kunz joint TNT Post just before the privatisation in 1988 and was active in different operational and executive positions. He was also responsible for the development of the mail related value added services, including printing, database management and hybrid mail solutions.
Before he joined TNT Post he was active in Real Estate and Facility management.
Pieter Kunz is member of the Supervisory Board of TNT Post GmbH Co & KG, a joint venture with OTTO/Hermes in Germany and member of the Supervisory Board of Redmail in Austria, a joint venture with Styria, one of the leading publishers in Austria.
He is married and has 4 children.

Iain McLure is the Chief Executive Officer of Spring, the joint venture cross border mail company owned by TNT, Royal Mail and Singapore Post. He was appointed to the role in August 2004.
Iain has spent most of his career in the mail industry. In particular, he worked in various senior positions for the Royal Mail Group. He was actively involved in the creation of the joint venture and was appointed Vice President of Europe and a board member at its commencement in July 2001.
Iain is married and when he is not working he enjoys golf, reading and travelling.

Mr Kärmas became Member of the Management Board of Estonian Post Ltd in November 2006. Since 2007, after restructuring the company, his main responsibility as a board member has been Logistics and Information Logistics. Mr Kärmas also holds the position of Head of Board in Estonian Electronic Mail Ltd and E-Invoicing Centre Ltd.
Prior to his role at Estonian Post, he held various positions in Viljandi Aken ja Uks, which is the largest producer of wooden windows and doors in the Baltic States. Starting his career as an Export Manager in 1996, he held various positions in the company and became Manager of Window Division in 2003.
Mr. Kärmas graduated from Tallinn University of Technology with a bachelor degree in public administration in 2000.
Besides his professional career Mr Kärmas has been active in social activities with main interest in nature. He is one of the founding members of the Friends of Soomaa National Park that has played an important role in protection and survival of valuable Estonian nature since 1997. Mr Kärmas is a senior member of AIESEC Estonia since 1998.

Botond Szebeny is the Secretary General of PostEurop (Association of European Public Postal Operators) and former Executive Director of International Business and a member of the Executive Committee at Magyar Posta.
Prior to joining PostEurop in 2009, Botond served in the Management Board of PostEurop with the responsibility of chairing the European Affairs Committee of the Association. Botond has also lead various initiatives including the Universal Postal Union’s Financial Committee and participated directly in the preparation of the new EU postal directive as postal expert of EU’s European Economic & Social Committee.
Botond is also a regular speaker at international conferences and author of numerous publications. Besides Hungarian, he speaks fluent English, German, Romanian and good French.

Rafał Brzoska is the founder and a co-owner of the Integer.pl Group companies, which he has been developing from the very beginning of their activity. He has built a nationwide unaddressed and addressed mail distribution network and Integer.pl has achieved the leading position on the Polish distribution market with approximately 30% of the market share. InPost, which has been active on the market since 2006, competes effectively with the monopoly operator Polish Post with about 10% of the market share. InPost was awarded the World Mail Award for Growth in 2010.
Rafał Brzoska is an experienced manager specialising in emerging markets with high growth potential.
From 1999 till 2001 he was the sales director and at the same time a manager and co-owner of SENIORNET S.C., a company providing internet services. In 1999 he founded Integer.pl – currently the largest private postal services group in Poland. The Group successfully debuted on the Warsaw Stock Exchange on 30 October 2007 and achieves over 400% ROI. After achieving successes in the unaddressed and addressed mail business he is now entering the e-commerce market with easyPack 24/7, f-commerce with InFlavo and m-commerce with InMobile.
Rafał Brzoska is a graduate of the Management and Marketing Faculty at Cracow University of Economics. He is interested in literature on financial markets and stock exchange analysis. He travels, and his hobbies are scuba diving and extreme sports. He is married and has one daughter.

Kurt Pierloot is Chief Operations Officer at the Belgian Post and member of the Executive Committee of the Belgian Post. In this role, he is responsible for managing all mail and parcels operations and for developing and implementing the Mail strategy. In his role of COO, he is also responsible for Facility Services and Cleaning. Other roles he assumed before his current responsibilities include Director of the Collect & Distribution Network, Regional Manager of the Collect & Distribution Network and Change Program Manager for the mail division of the Belgian Post.
Before joining the Post in 2004, he was Associate Principal in the Brussels office of McKinsey & Company. At McKinsey, he has primarily served telecom operators, postal operators and Banks in Europe, Latin America and North America. As consultant he mainly specialized in developing and implementing major operational turnaround programs.
Kurt Pierloot holds a degree in Commercial Engineering from the University of Brussels where he graduated summa cum laude (1995). During his academic period, he completed several internships in various industries, and acquired experience in the retail, consumer goods and manufacturing industries.

Kamil Kiljański has been heading the unit in charge of postal services at European Commission's DG for Internal Market and Services since July 2009. Before that he was a member of the Chief Economist Team at European Commission’s DG Competition where he worked since September 2003. Prior to joining the Commission he has worked for three years as a Senior Economist at LECG (an economic consultancy) in its London office. He has experience in various industries, among others: energy, environment, payment systems, ICT and media. He was also involved in several International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) litigation cases, as well as advised on regulatory matters. He earned his PhD in economics from Warsaw School of Economics (Poland) and received his LLM degree from King’s College London.

Carl-Gerold Mende has spent most of his business career in the Express and Parcels industry.
Following about 10 years within the country Management Team of Federal Express (FedEx) in Germany with his last role being the regional Director for the Central District, Carl-Gerold became the Managing Director of General Parcel in 1993. Under his leadership General Parcel developed to become the leading ground based B2B parcel system in Europe.
In 2000 Carl-Gerold became a Managing Director for German Parcel and soon afterwards one of 3 Members of the Management (Executive) Board of General Logistics Systems B.V. in Amsterdam, the then c.1.6bn Euro turnover Holding Company which manages Royal Mail’s parcel activities outside the UK. In this capacity Carl-Gerold was responsible for Marketing, Global Business Development, Quality of Service, international Operations and group wide IT.
In April 2004, Carl-Gerold was appointed to become Royal Mail’s International Director. In this role he was responsible for the more then 700 million GBP turnover of the international letters business of Royal Mail and a member of the Royal Mail Letters executive team.
In parallel Carl-Gerold led the Royal Mail Group wide “packet strategy initiative” focussing on simplifying the product offer and implementing new products (e.g. Royal Mail tracked™) which closed the gaps in the then current Royal Mail product portfolio. In his role Carl-Gerold continued to hold several Board positions within the international parcel and express area.
In March 2008 Carl-Gerold was appointed as Member of the Board for Austrian Post (AG (Plc). He took over the Parcel& Logistics portfolio of Austrian Post in June 2008. In July 2009 his appointment was extended until July 2013,
The division comprises a total annual turnover of about €850m and in addition to the postal business in Austria companies in The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Montenegro.

Vincent Santacroce became Poste Italiane's Mail Division CIO in September 2004. Currently Vincent is the Marketing Head for Innovative & Digital Services.
Prior to this he held various senior leadership roles in Accenture working in Italy, Germany, France, USA.
At the end of 2008 he launched and managed the "Electronic Mailman Project", in which 18.500 mailmen are currently equipped with mobile devices and printers that enable the Poste Italiane to provide a wide portfolio of services (real-time proof of delivery, justices notifications, fines management, real-time telegram deliveries, mobile payments, traditional door-to-door post office services) to its customers. This is the first ICT project worldwide that brings mobile technology to the last mile of the logistics process at such a large scale, involving within the next 36 months all Poste Italiane’s 42,000 mailmen.
Vincent holds a Doctorate Degree in Economics from the Luiss University in Rome. He's married to Antonella with 2 daughters (Gaia & Sofia). His major hobby is golf where he is working very hard to lower this handicap to a single digit.

Dr. Kazar has been with the Hungarian Post Office for 10 years as a financial expert. He started his career at the Budapest University of Economics where he spent 15 years. Joost Vantomme is a lawyer with additional specialisation in regulatory law and economics. He currently holds the position of Director Regulatory Affairs at Bpost. He is also chairman of the Working Group of PostEurop dealing with the postal directive and (acting) chairman of the European Affairs Committee of PostEurop. Before his regulatory function, he served Bpost as deputy general counsel and senior lawyer in competition law.
From 1993 to 2001, Joost was legal director of Belgacom, the Belgian incumbent telecommunications company. He has been in charge of legal and regulatory review of various pricing and product related matters in the retail and wholesale units, as well as the setting-up of subsidiaries in the field of internet and mobile communications. Joost’s experience in the area of liberalisation of the electronic communications market is instrumental for his current function.
Joost is also active on a more academic field where he is a welcomed guest to speak for university audiences as well as at conferences on regulation policy. He is also author of a number of papers in the field of European law and regulation.

Paula Vennells became Managing Director of Post Office Ltd and was appointed to the Royal Mail Holdings Board in October 2010; she joined the Post Office 4 years ago as Network Director. The UK Post Office has a national network of 12000 Post Offices and online and direct channels, whose 65000 staff serve 20 million customers every week, generating £1bn turnover p.a.
Paula was instrumental in initiating the new Post Office strategy, which was launched in November 2010 in the Government's "Securing the Post Office Network in the Digital Age" policy paper. The new plan drives digital solutions, new revenue streams and operating models, which will make the Post Office sustainable for the future. The Post Office has a key role in serving communities with Government, mails and financial products and services, and to improve Post Office access for all customers, especially the disabled and disadvantaged.
Before Royal Mail Group, Paula's career was in the private sector. Most recently, she spent 5 years with Whitbread plc; as Group Commercial Director she had overall responsibility for Marketing, Procurement and Supply Chain. In 2005, under her leadership, Whitbread brands were awarded The Marketing Society Award for Excellence.
She began her career in marketing with Unilever and L'Oreal and has held directorships in sales and marketing with a number of major retailers including Dixons Stores Group and Argos.

Alfred Köbe has nearly 30 years experience in e-commerce and distance selling. Having for a long time been responsible for Logistics and IT at the Neckermann’s headquarters in Germany, he has from 1999 until 2006 successively been a Director for Neckermann’s distance selling companies in France, Belgium and the Netherlands as well as Director for OTTO in the Netherlands from 2006 until 2009. All the way through, Alfred Köbe had been responsible for all postal issues.
During this time he has accompanied the transition of the print-based Distance Selling companies to the new, digital E-driven businesses. Since 2005 Alfred Köbe is a board member of the European E-commerce and Mail Order Trade Association (EMOTA) and since 2009 the Chairman of the Postal User Group (PUG).

Thiemo van Spellen (1975) is Commercial Manager of Sandd. He has a no nonsense mentality and he wishes to develop a vision within a constantly changing and challenging environment. Thiemo has started his career in the nineties at Deutsche Post IMS. Following this, in 2002, he joined Sandd where he worked in several commercial positions. In these positions he has been gaining valuable experience in sales and marketing with the Dutch postal market. His position as Sales Manager was mainly focused on the Publishing companies and The Authorities. As per 2009 Thiemo became the successor of the Commercial Director making him responsible for Marketing and Sales for Sandd.
In 10 years, Sandd has been built from a potential idea to a company with a revenue in 2009 of € 80 million, 420 million volume and 1.200 employees in a revolutionary way, but most of all highly successful.

Jean-Paul Forceville, 53, graduated from Paris Business School in 1979 and then from the Ivy League College for Post Office and Telecommunications service in 1986.
He joined the corporate structure of La Poste in 1979 and was in charge of various functions in the field of communications. He also worked for the Financial Division. From 1990 to 1992 he was Adviser for Finance and Planning in the Ministry for Posts, Telecommunications and Space and continued with this office in the Ministry for Public Service, State Reform and Decentralization from 1997 to 1998.
In 1992, he was appointed Director General Director of Sofipost, the holding company of La Poste subsidiaries. In 1995, he joined La Poste Strategic Division as Deputy Director.
Since 2001, Mr Forceville has been Director for External Relations and in addition, Director, European and International Affairs, since October 2004.

Luisa joined Royal Mail as Head of Commercial Pricing in March 2005, where she was responsible for determining pricing strategy and delivering major pricing programmes. Appointed Marketing Services Director in 2008, Luisa has overall responsibility for developing and implementing a business-focused brand and communication strategy; developing and implementing a pricing strategy which achieves planned profits within the constraints of competition law; optimising the commercial performance of royalmail.com; and delivering the customer insight and market research programme. Luisa is a key proponent of market-centric regulatory initiatives, which seek to change the regulatory regime so that it aligns better with the commercial requirements of a company operating in a competitive marketplace.
Prior to joining Royal Mail, Luisa worked for 10 years in international telecoms. Mr Andreas Gregoriou has been the Director of the Department of Postal Services since 1st February 2008. He was born in 1965. After the completion of his military service, he studied Economics at the University of Athens. In 2006, he received his Masters Degree in Public Sector Management from the Cyprus International Institute of Management (CIIM).
He was employed in the private sector from 1988 until 1992. He started his career in the public sector at the Department of Inland Revenue, followed by the VAT Department and the Directorate of Tax Policy in the Ministry of Finance.
In November 2002 he was appointed as Senior Officer on Financial and Legal issues at the newly formed Office of the Commissioner of Telecommunications and Postal Regulation (OCTPR). During his service at the OCTPR he was responsible for regulating the postal sector in Cyprus and the incorporation of the European Directives in the National Legislation.
He is married to Elli and has 3 children.

Andreas Lemmer studied Economics and Political Sciences at the University of Bonn (Germany) and École Supérieure de Commerce de Bordeaux (France). He joined Deutsche Post AG in Spring 2003. At Corporate Organization and later Corporate Strategy Andreas worked on several strategic projects, including the sale of retail outlets to Postbank, acquisitions of Express companies in Romania and Spain, as well as the Corporate Strategy project "Strategy 2015". Sten Selander was born in 1952. Since 1994 he has been the Director of Postal Affairs at the National Post and Telecom Agency (PTS) in Sweden. Before that he worked in different positions as legal counsel to the Swedish Employers Confederation (now Confederation of Swedish Enterprise) for 14 years.
Sten Selander has regulated and monitored the development of the Swedish Postal market at a national level since it was fully liberalised. In the international field he has taken an active part in the work of the European Postal Regulators Committee, CERP for many years, and since 2008 has represented Sweden in the UPU Council of Administration.

Béatrice Roux is a graduate from EAD Paris School and from University with an English Master’s degree. She followed a “Managing Corporate Resources” course at IMD School in Switzerland.

In 1986, she joins Chronopost International SA (a subsidiary of La Poste Group) as Communication Director, both for France and the outside France subsidiaries.

Mark played an important role in the set up of the Joint Venture being involved in the European Commission Competition approval and integration of the contributed businesses.

Eva King is the Director for Strategic Network and Business Development and Program Manager for PSD/ SEPA for Western Union. Ms King is responsible for the PSD project, which provides the umbrella for all compliance efforts as well as key organizational transformation, preparing the ground for future expansion and growth for the business. In this capacity Ms King developed a deep understanding of the EPC, was instrumental in the drafting of the PSD and worked on related payment dossiers. Ms King has a deep knowledge of regulatory aspects involved and has developed strong relationships with key decision makers on regulatory and supervision issues.
Ms King has been advising European Commissioner for Internal Market and Financial Services, Mr Charlie Mc Creevy. Ms King contributed to the revision work of several key legal frameworks for payment services: Regulation 2560/ FATF regulation accompanying fund transfers, DG Comp competition inquiries in cards, etc. Ms King has served as observer for SEPA for the European Commission and as key interlocutor for EPC during 5 years and represented the European Commission in the ECB working groups (standardisation and payment services and as party to bilateral meetings with EPC for progress review for SEPA). Ms King has a deep understanding of the diverse business models of the PI industry.
Prior to joining the European Commission Ms King was for 3 years Manager Payment Services with the Austrian Central Bank, responsible for management of strategic projects. Ms King developed successful relationships with different key players in the private financial sector.
Ms King has sound experience in the financial sector, acquired working successfully both for the Private sector and for Institutions.
Ms King has a strong academic background in finance and banking and holds a Master Degree in Economics and a Master Degree in Business Administration from the University of Economics and Business Administration, Vienna.

For 25 years he was a Royal Naval Reserve officer, becoming the most junior Commanding Officer in the Royal Navy at the age of 27. He subsequently commanded 6 HM Ships and acted as Minewarfare adviser to the UK Permanent Joint Headquarters.
