Conference overview:
In publishing Omnibus II, some commentators argued that EIOPA introduced even greater uncertainty to an already uncertain regulatory landscape. As insurers continue to fight the complexity of some of the Solvency II requirements, there remains a lot of work to be done in preparing for final implementation – whenever this may eventually be. Without extensive Commission guidance, there is a pressing need for advice and discussion about how to implement the directive and how to make the most of these changes.
The Solvency II Forum fosters a practical, inter-industry approach to the challenges of the new regulations, bringing together senior industry figures and thought-leaders to debate and shape the new era in insurance.
Speaker interviews:

Tom Grondin gives his pre-conference thoughts on Solvency II, including what he considers to be the biggest challenge facing insurers, what he thinks of price speculation, and what advice he would give to insurers trying to make the most of the new regime.
